In-air communications can be so much more exciting and extensive than the expensive phone calls made from the pointy end of commercial airlines. It just took a clever Australian company to find them… In recent times, TC Communication's 'Eye in the Sky' system has been used to fight bushfires, make drug busts and track down illegal fishing boats (… all in a day's work really). In a groundbreaking project, TC developed the 'Eye in the Sky' system for Australian Customs Coastwatch division. In the first commercial application of its kind in the world, TC has enabled Coastwatch to become a world leader in border surveillance technology. TC was also responsible for the world's first live video surveillance capability via helicopter - as developed for the Taiwanese National Fire Authority. The latest developments in "in air" communications revolve around the launch of Swift Broadband, and yet again TC is at the cutting edge of the developing complete solutions around this capability. |
